Lewis Hamilton emerges victorious in Abu Dhabi as Vettel retires with a puncture

Hamilton dominated the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix as disaster struck poleman Vettel at turn 3 after the start as he spun out incurring a puncture.

Vettel took a blistering start at the lights from Hamilton and looked as if he was pulling away instantaneously but he went wide in to the kerbs post Turn 1 and
spun out as he went into turn2 incurring a puncture and handing the lead to Hamilton. Vettel managed to get back to the pits but had to retire eventually as the car's suspension and bodywork was damaged. Since then Hamilton never looked back and looked unstoppable even by Fernando Alonso who gave a late charge in the race.

As Hamilton flew away with the lead the battle for positions was brewing between Alonso, Button and Webber with Alonso managing to outrun Button and settling in 2nd. Webber bettered Button who was experiencing a DRS problem but a pathetic pit stop by Red Bull ruined Webber's efforts as he gambled with a 3-stop strategy.

Massa was looking to get close to Button and Webber but he spun out after hitting a debri of Maldonado's Williams but managed to rejoin the race to finish 5th ahead of Nico Rosberg who couldnt challenge Massa due to understeer problems. Schumacher managed to wade off Adrian Sutil's Sahara Force India to the flag.

Other retirements were Jerome D' Ambrosio with brake problems, Sebastien Buemi and Daniel Ricciardo.

Hamilton crossed the chequered flag on lap 55 as the lights came out glittering at dusk in Abu Dhabi and dedicated his win to his mom for her birthday.
